Privacy Information

The Facilitators collect demographic data on our customers as a way to assess the informational needs of various groups across campus. If you visit us in person, we will database your CatCard number. When we do this basic demographic information, such as your college, major, class standing, or employee affiliation, is stored in our database. We do not store your name or personal information, such as address or phone information, so it's never possible to us to "tie" the questions you ask back to you.

There is one full time Facilitator, but the program has many more participants due to its collaborative nature. When you send us e-mail via facil@listserv.arizona.edu, your message is distributed via our listserv to between 30 and 40 experts in various departments across campus. The experts may answer your question or they may advise the Facilitators of pertinent information that will fulfill your request. We may also route your question to pertinent people or departments at our discretion. All of our experts are University employees and must comply with the privacy mandates of FERPA and UA Web privacy policy.

If you don't wish to have your interaction with the Facilitators recorded in our database, please let us know. We never require people to provide information in order to answer questions for them. To avoid having your question viewed by our panel of experts you may opt to ask by leaving it on our voice mail at (520) 621-5918 instead of sending e-mail.

No matter how you contact us, we look forward to hearing from you and hope to be able to assist you with your informational needs as they pertain to the University of Arizona!
